ok im having no luck with the snes stn thing.

i have copied the files and used Nero with the settings as perviously posted:

install.cnf
(readme.txt)
"roms" (folder - contents are in .smc format)
snes_emu.elf
system.cnf

I have attempted to burn this as an image file as I have the thing as a completed iso onto many makes of cd and i keep making coasters!

I have a messiah-chip modded ps2. On inserting the cd, it fails to load up. in fact the only thing it does is goes to the "black playstation screen"

this is leading me to believe i need a loader of some kind. any ideas people?

How can we ever HAVE time if we do not ever TAKE time?...

yeh i figured that, but it will not resolve the issue.

the fact is that the ps2 is not recognising the disc at all and i need to know why.

anyone out there think i need a loader with a messiah modded ps2? everything else seems to boot ok...

Hmm, the PS2 laser is picky with media. CDs put a big stress on the laser. You should try putting a big dummy file on the CD (about 500mb depending on how big the ROMS make up)

It's doesen't put so much stress on the laser and it's easier for it to read.

intresting. so u think that the total data size is not big enough to be read as a valid ps2 cd by the laser?

if this is the case, i should put a random 500mb fle in there too?

what sort of file would you suggest?
