OK, I am interested in purchasing an ipod, but can't decide. Is there anything really spectacular about the nano, or just the screen and games? Every store I go to has them bolted down so much that you really can't get the full effect. I'm not so sure I am interested in the screen, but if it's worth it, I'd go for it. I want the 2GB, I know the shuffle only goes to 1GB right now, but this summer they are releasing a 2GB and 4GB, and who knows, I may be broke until then anyway. I've waited this long, so I can probably survive longer. Anyway, and advice, pros and cons would be nice. Thanx!

If you really want a good iPod experience, buy the 5th Gen. or the so called iPod Video!

It beats the holy bejesus outta every other iPods...

Hi i used to have a shuffle and i think it gets a little bit annoying. You cant really organize your music without a screen. The battery always ran out when i needed it. I think the nano is better because of the battery life and the screen. If i were you i would just get the 1GB nano its only $50 more than the shuffle and its alot better.!!!!!

I think it is all personal preference, really. I have the 30GB ipod Video and I love it. If you can use the video enough to purchase one, I think the 30GB is the best for its price. If not, I would get the 4GB ipod nano.
The shuffle is kind of annoying because if you want to listen to a certain song, you have to scroll threw your whole list of songs hoping that song comes on. Plus, You dont get any cool features with the shuffle, such as playlists, alarm clock, the gay games that is on the nano and video (jk lol), and certain song selection (as i mentioned earlier)

In answer to your question, it has to be nano over shuffle, anyday of the week.. I cannot think of any advantages of having the shuffle other than it being cheaper. You could argue that it's smaller, but it's doubtful you will need it any smaller than the nano..
