Do I use a DVD+R or CD+R to back up certain games?

I have previously read that some games are cd based and some dvd based with one being a blue color and one silver? Where do you look for the color? I cant' find the posts anymore. I have backed up one game with a dvd+r and it played fine. Will all games need to be backed up on dvd+r's? I'm just trying to save some time for backing up with the right media. I have a DMS4 Pro chip if that helps any. Thanks

The colour will be on the bottom of then disc, on the side that the laser reads. CD is bluey-purple, dvd is silver.

You can also look on the other side of the disc, the side that has the label on it, and it will say either cd-rom or dvd-rom.

Majority of games these days are DVD. In fact it's been a long time since I came across a game that was on cd.
