We just signed up for high speed internet and when we tried to hook up the ethernet connection It does not recognize it. In my device manager it shows up but there is a question mark by it. It looks like the driver is not there. Where could I find this, or is their any thing anyone can help me with this? Thanks, ---zen--->

I am shocked at you ozzy....hijacking the thread to promote your shop!!!

j/k

Anyways, a yellow ! means the driver is there, but not installed correctly. Use that link that ozzy provided, download the driver and reinstall it. Best way to do that, is to extract the files into a folder, and use Device Manager to update the driver by pointing it to the correct inf file.

zenarrrow, that exclamation mark is for your net card unless using an usb modem. so are you using usb cable or net cable to high speed modem?

If ya want to pay a measly thirt dollars and that link i sent doesnt help download driver genius pro and buy it. Then it will go by device id number and point ya to the right d/l link for ya hard ware.

I actualyl use quite frequently on customers computers, cause its easier than looking up the board or device id.

*lights another*.....

yeah, I'll get right on that!

*cough*

eh, I'm old fashioned in some ways, I like to look at the device, grab the numbers and head over to DriverGuide..., or the manufacturer's site...but that does sound like a handy tool to have!

That works too...but driver pro is good for finding obsolete cards. With that tool I figured out a d-link ethernet card is the same thing as a via and can actually use either driver set from d-link or via

<cough><cough> Lights another Yeah I have to quit too. <<smile>>
