I've read a lot on media, bit-setting, and using the utilities and just placed my order for a 50-stack of Taiyo Yuden ink-jet DVD+R (LiquidusX media thread: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/240341). I see that many people use Lite-on, but with so many models on their products page (19 half-height EIDE products to be exact: http://www.liteonit.com/ODD/English/e_product/e_dvd%20rw.asp), I'm not sure which model to buy. I have disposable income and don't mind a couple of extra bucks for the best (errr... most compatible). But, I don't want to spend the money on a feature that I might not use.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks. They don't list the dates of manufacture/release. Do you have any model number recommendations. I'm looking for the one that is the most compatible with PS2 backups burning.

Ok... just bought the SHM-165H6S. Hope these products (and a bit of knowledge) are all I need for some successful backups. Great Forum!
