normally I would warn you and let you know that converting one lossy format to another will result it significant quality loss, but seeing as its for your cell phone I suppose it doesn't matter. What you need is dBPowerAMP (http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm). It is a free and very good audio converter. Be sure to download and install the .AAC codec from the codec-central page of the website.

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:

what do you mean dbpoweramp "just doeasn't work for you"? it should be able to encode at whatever bitrate and samplerate you want...what problems are you having with it...its one of the best around.

yes it can mass convert, you simply select multiple files when you right click.

dBPowerAMP has to be the easiest converter to use. whatever version you have, uninstall it. go to the link I provided above, download the program and install it. then go to the codec-central page on that website and download the AAC plugin and install it. now find the file/files you want to convert in my computer or windows explorer. right click on the file, and select "convert to" select AAC for file format, then below that select the bitrate and samplerate you want. click okay and there you go. easy as that.

I did exactly wht u told me to do...Unistalled it...downloaded from the site...used the AAC converter...and it did the same thing...and it doesnt let me choose my sample rate either. Can you take a picture of wht it is suppose to look like when I choose to convert to AAC?
