if you don't take the time to read rules (no all-caps posts--it's yelling), then you probably won't want to read an installation manual or tutorial, so yes, SM 3.6 is for you.

Don't waste your time with Swap Magic. You think the PS2 is cheaply made? Wait til you see the fliptops and the swap magic discs! Swap Magic is one of the biggest wastes of money in my entire life. I wouldn't buy it again if it was 10 cents. If you can't afford a mod chip then put down the controller and get a job.

It's really a matter of user preference. Swap Magic works fine. It's a good product. However if you're a serious gamer and you want to play your backups/imports just like originals, then check out my modchip FAQ. The link is in my sig. That'll give you a rundown of the pros and cons of all the different PS2 backup methods.

Yes but after spending that money, you never have to rebuild, patch PAL to NTSC, shrink DVD-9 to DVD-5, swap discs, buy Breaker Pro or some means of booting PSX backups, install an exploit to load elfs off the MC, get screwed when playing multi disc games that allow you to save in between discs, etc.

I'll let you in on a little secret, I originally ordered the DMS 4 Pro. There were complications with my v.4 mobo, it would produce the occasional black screen on boot up. Davbere installed three different DMS 4 Pro's and it did it with each of them. The Matrix was installed, it worked perfectly, and the rest is history. I don't regret it, the Matrix is a great chip, so is the DMS 4 Pro. You won't go wrong either way. I believe Xmodds ships to the UK. He's a member of AD, you may want to contact him if you're interested.
