Burn it to good DVD Media like Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim at half the max speed of the disc, and you'll be fine. Make sure you're firmware is up to date and your burner is in DMA mode.
82. Q. When I'm burning with DVD Decrypter or Nero I get an I/O error or some other strange error, I'm not sure my burner is in DMA mode, and I'm confused about different media, what do I do?

Make sure you shut down all programs running in the background, the DVD-ROM drive is empty, and you follow all the directions included in the Firmware download exactly. I don't know if it works....that damn gamespy registration thing won't let me connect!
I've tried it several times and it still gives me the same damn error!
error creating account. this may be due to an invalid ustername. Gamespy password or e-mail address.
What can i do now!

i have created an account on the website...and still nothing!
My neighbour had the dnas 401 error something with the ps2 game.
Do i need a patch or something to get through the gamespy thing?

yo guys i got swap magic 3.3 i tried recording toca race driver 3 with dvd decriptor when i finished recordings i went to play the game it loads up fine but when i select my car then play the game the ingame dosnt load up it says e.g silverstone track was invented in the ....... and then in the courner u get the disc icon going around well this went red and crashed and would not go any more than that any 1 got any ideas or any thing i can do. pls help me i use ritek go5s DVD-R thanks for your time

Dunno I just downloaded the game today. I'll report back later after I burn it. Lemme look into my crystall ball... I burn at 4x on 8x Taiyo Yuden DVD-R's.... and my modded PS2 handles it perfectly. Sorry just being a wiseheimer. Seriously though I'd get some better media, RitekG05 is no longer adequate for backing up PS2 games. Get some Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim's.

A. This is somewhat of a crap shoot. Big manufacturer's like Fuji, Sony, and Maxell have at one point past or present payed Taiyo Yuden to manufacture media for them. The big companies slap their name on the label even though the discs were manufactured in Japan by Taiyo Yuden. These discs will always be made in Japan. Authentic TY media isn't made anywhere else. Even if it says Made in Japan on the label, there is no gauruntee of getting authentic Taiyo Yuden media. You could still end up with Sony or Fuji media codes. Hence why I said this is a crap shoot. Places like Comp USA, Office Depot, Sam's Club, and Staples will carry Made In Japan branded discs. Again there is no way to know for sure from the package whether these are authentic Taiyo Yuden's. If you don't want to risk getting non TY discs, you can find 50 packs of Verbatim in the afore mentioned chain stores. One other alternative is the Made in Japan High Grade Maxell DVD+R's. They will say Made in Japan on the label and "High Grade" as well. These are excellent media. Remember when using DVD+R's, it's best you have a burner that supports booktyping/bitsetting, and a v.4 PS2 or later. Much thanks goes to kivory666 aka "docTY" for this information. He is indeed the Taiyo Yuden master. The best place to get authentic Taiyo Yuden media is from reputable online vendors like http://www.supermediastore.com http://www.rima.com http://www.meritline.com or http://www.newegg.com

I still haven't burned it yet. I know it'll work, I'm not even worried about it. I'd go with Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim. Go with 8x Verb's or TY's. If you're in the UK order off http://www.svp.co.uk They seemed to be the number one rated source of media by just about everybody in the UK.

I got a pack of 50 Sony DVD-R at best buy the other day for $15 which is pretty cheap considering. They are very good quality, been using them for the past year and have had no probs with them. Check it out, don't know if there still doing it?!?!

I have buy Toca race driver 3 , and when i try to play online with my backup (patched with the real ID),i m blck at the Gamespy identification.. is there really no way to play online whith only 1 backup patched?

yo guys thanks very much for helping me i have brought verbatim 8x DVD-R advanced azos and the toca game worked it did slightly sound freeze but it loaded up the game thanks Tokijin for that great help and other people who helped thanks very much.
