I'm not postive it's DNA's enabled, but I believe the PAL version is, so I'm assuming the NTSC-US version is as well. I'm going to burn my copy today, it's been sitting on my HD for a week, I'll make sure it's DNA enabled then post the results.

Patch it with Windip. The game is definitely DNA's enabled. I justed burned my copy to TY DVD+R's booktyped to DVD-ROM and it plays perfectly. There's options for your Network Config, so it definitely is playable online.

No. you patch your backup DNA ID's with Windip and you're done. No swapping, other than the intial Swap if you're using Swap Magic.

20. Q. What are DNA's?
A. Any game made after 2003 for the PS2 that is online playable contains one or more image files that has a "disk
DNA checker." The online game server checks your game disk to see if it's the real thing or not. Thus, you have to discover which .img file on the game disc has the checker file.

21. Q. How do I patch DNA's?

With Windip (recommended): http://forums.psxforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=117528

C'mon help yourself on this one. Get an original copy and use the Disc ID utility to get the DNA ID.

To play Toca 3 online you need to do the swap thing with a patched and an unpatched disc.

Here's how:

http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/15/199101

BTW, the Australian version (V8 Supercars 3) will not work online. You need the English Toca 3 PAL version.

A couple points. A. That's for the PAL version. Nobody seems to have the DNA ID for the NTSC version. So theoretically, the NTSC version may not to be swapped to work. B. Nobody (at least in that thread) has tried to get online with a good modchip like the Matrix Infinity, DMS 4, or Crystal Chip 1.1. The MI for example goes into sleep mode after boot up, so a DNA's patched backup may work fine. The CC auto patches DNA ID's, so it may work as well. Just some food for thought. The NTSC version is still largely a mystery.

There are people in this thread that can't get the PAL version working. My comment was directed at them.

My last line was directed at the Aussies, since they can't play V8 Supercars 3 online with a back-up, they can use the Toca 3 PAL version if they wish to play copies online.

It ends up your right anyway. The NTSC-US version has an additional online server check a la Socom 2 or 3, so playing it online is a pipe dream, at least for now. Lxfactor updated the NTSC DNA's ID thread.

From Lxfactor:
Quote:
Toca Race Driver 3 - This has protection. So a DNA$ is pointless. As with TOCA/DTM Race Driver 2, it will pass DNA$, but you cannot createa new, or log into an existing, GameSpy account. There is no way around this

I got the NTSC-US version off torrentleech.org. Several private trackers have the game. This should help.

9. Q. Where can I find PS2 games to download?
