I'm trying to use ScubaPetes method to burn. Decrypter read the disk ok so it's on my hard drive. I started Shrink, put in my setting and started to back up. It gets about 40% through the encoding and gives me an error- "Out of memory - Not enough storage is available to process this command" just in case you need to know, even though it hasn't started the burn yet, I'm using Verbatim DVD-R and a Liteon 1633s burner, firmware is up to date.

@ 9932sens : I've just edited one of your other posts for over use of exclamation marks (please refrain from doing so any more).
If someone asks a question in the english language we use this symbol --> ?

NOT -- > !

@ RichDee : I'm sure we can get you backing up no problem soon enough (I happen to know Pete's guides are good).
As stated , what is the state of the memory on your comp ... incl. hdd storage ?

heheh , sorry you was replying as I was ...

That's a strange error to get out of DVD Shrink , not one Ive ever encountered myself.
After ripping to HDD w/ DVD Decrypter did you have at least say 5-6Gb free for DVD Shrink to output to ?

Okay , well this out-of-memory problem I wouldn't imagine is anythinig to w/ hdd storage as you've said you are saving output to 80gb free hdd.
What DVD is it btw , does it look scratched/dirty .. exactly which of ScubaPete's guides are ya using also mate?

It's Bambi 2...Disks is in nice shape..it read the dvd to the hard drive already so the ISO image is on there. it't in he encoding that shrinks have the problem. I'm tring to use this site
http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/petesguide13.html to follow.

@ RichDee....dude, if you managed to ISO the disc, then the problem is not necessarily with the disk. i have come across the same prob with several other recently released titles. try this out, get the latest dvdfab decrypter (v2.9.7.2), don't worry bro, it's free. the program will throw it onto your hdd just like dvddecrypter. then try compressing it with dvdshrink. next, i can only assume that you've got Nero to burn the movie on the the disc. i personally use Nero recode but what you use is totally up to you. the 'out of memory' error your getting is from the copy protection that's on the disc. if you really have a hair up your butt on creating an ISO file, then i suggest that you use dvdfab decrypter first, then dvddecrypter, next followed by dvdshrink and end it all with Nero.

hope this helps

@RichDee, you can get AnyDVD & CloneDVD 2 here:
http://www.slysoft.com/en/
P.S. If you buy the 2 as a package, enter the word afterdawn in the Promo Code field & save 10 bucks on the price. It's $5.00 for each program. WELL Worth the price & more! It's the Best Money I ever spent on Software, period. They both have a 21 day Free use trial, Unlimited usage. Me? I bought them both after a couple days! :-)
Edited to add more detail.

If you ever run into this problem (occasionally you will see this error even after Fab, although the new update seems to handle this error very well) just run the files through VobBlanker.
