Im using Dvd X Copy Platinum and Im trying to copy The Sopranos Season 1...The episodes on each disk is quite high at 7.3G and to compress that to fit onto a regular 4.7G disk will grealty affect the way it will look after its done copying. Anyways I did copy it and to be quite honest with u, it looks like shyte...I'm trying to put each disk onto 2 dvds but the Xcopy doesnt seem to be doing the right calculations on how much size to go onto each disk...When i click no compression it says "splitting" which is wat i wanted to do, but the Gigs on each disk is like 1.3G on one and like .8G on the other...doesnt make sence...the sopranos dvd is like 7.3G so shouldnt there be more Gigs on each dvd when im trying to split them?...

My buddy bought the sopranos dvds copied and he said the quality is just like a regular dvd...i dont know how the person did it...if some can help me on wat to do here, i would appreciate it...thanks

Your Xcopy is just picking up on 1 episode and not the rest. You would be better off if you use the free program DVD Shrink to do this series. I have backed up all the seasons of Sopranos with no problem. Use DVD Shrink to rip and compress your disk and then use another program to burn such as DVD Decrypter which is free or Nero if you have it. I had the old 321 Xcopy and it would not do this series. Use Shrink with deep analysis and quality enhancements set to smooth and your disk should come out good. Here is a guide and you can get the software here too.

Good luck, as I said I use Shrink for my first couple of seasons and put them all on one disk. Then I started using AnyDVD and CloneDVD which allowed me to split and retain full menu function on both disks. You can have a free trial of these programs for 21 days. Try them out and see how you like them

A guide on use is here
