@acbyc, this is very confusing, you have 3 threads running now. For anyone to help you they have to know what you have done and by reading the progress of a thread one can get the overall picture.

You are NOT helping by starting a new thread each time.

I do apologized for the others threads ...I will stick with this one from now on...this is a kind of what Nero shows me at the time it stop: Advanced analysis started,advanced analysis completed successfully,compiling DVD volume started and then failed to write to file. I hope this will give you guys a clue.Thanks

Hint again read the forum rules! You also can't copy rentals - another forum rule - piracy. Or did you buy these from the rental place?

I did say liked rental places but what I do mean is a movie that I bought it for 24.99 and I want to make a copy so I can start playing the copy and I'm trying to preserv the original.

@acbyc
Txs for clarifying that!
Just as an FYI - the country where this site operates passed new legislation about copy protection - you can read about it here:
http://www.afterdawn.com/news/archive/7179.cfm

Okay now back to your problem - the failure could be caused by several things. From what you posted looks like Nero has done everything up to the point of burning and this is where it fails. If that's the case your best bet is to post the Nero log which can be found here: For Nero 6 Program Files>Ahead>Nero>NeroHistory.txt
For Nero 7: Program Files>Nero>Nero 7>Core>NeroHistory.txt
Juts be sure to edit out your serial # - they usually begin w/ 1A. You don't want someone else using it!

@acbyc
If you still need help here's how to post your log. Go to 'my computer' - double click on the hard drive (usually c) then follow the path above for which vesion of Nero you have.
Open the text file and copy & paste the last log removing your serial # - usually begin w/ 1A ,1C.
The logs are separated by something like this :
===== *** Nero Burning Rom, History File *** =======
Then post it back in this thread.

If you found the log, all you have to do is highlight the content of the log with your mouse, right click, copy, then open the forum page and click paste in your post. Is just a text document, it should be that easy...

Nero version: 6.3.1.29 (Nero Express)
Your nero version is old. Update here:

http://httpdl2.usw.nero.com/Nero-6.6.0.18.exe

Last address to be written: 2287007 (508:13.32, 4466MB)
You are burning too close to the edge of the disc., 4466 MB is too much. Set the target size custom to about 4350MB.

Also, you are burning on questionable quality media:
Quote:
Recorder: TDK DVDRW0404N, Media type: DVD-R
Disc Manufacturer: MUST 0 - 03
Disc Application Code: 64, Disc Physical Code: 193
?and your burner does not recognize the discs you are using:
Quote:
SCSI Exec, HA 0, TA 0, LUN 0
Status: 0x04 (0x01, SCSI_ERR)
HA-Status 0x00 (0x00, OK)
TA-Status 0x02 (0x01, SCSI_TASTATUS_CHKCOND)
Sense Key: 0x05 (KEY_ILLEGAL_REQUEST)
Buy some quality DVD media, like Verbatim, Sony or Maxell MIJ.

You have InCd installed with Nero. Go to Nero website and download InCd removing tool. IncD conflicts with Nero.

You also have Roxio installed on your computer. Many people reprt conflicts when using both software. You can get a tool to remove Roxio:

Your burner?s firmware is about three versions behind. You can update here:

Oh you didn't need to remove all the logs. Always good to leave one at least. But then again after you do what cyprusrom suggests you should be good to go!
