I have swap magic 3.6 and it says it can load programs from usb devices. If I have backed up copies of my ps2 games on a seagate usb hard drive from using Alcohol 120% so their in .mdf format, how would I play those files?

to my knowledge I don't think you can, Just put it on a disc though.

Note the word "programs"... not games!!! It means like homebrew applications, memory card exploits etc. If you want to play games off a HDD then you need to use USB extreme and a USB HDD (only option for slim ps2)

So you couldn't mount an PS2 emulator on the PS2 and play the games from the hard drive?

yes you can what you need is the usb advance the free one (google not hard to find if not pm me with email and i will send

you just burn it to cd load sm swap with the loader and then you load the games of usb but its pretty slow if you have bulk you are better using internal hdd
