I tried to put an already converted mp4 on my 60gb ipod, but it wont go and when I try to play the video on the computer it says that there is an error. Before I converted it played perfectly.

Which program did you use to convert? Can you play it using Quicktime Player or iTunes?

Hmm, that's a strange one..
Try a different video, and see if you still get the same problem. If you do, please post back & I will assist you further..

Try reducing the length of the filename.. iTunes seems to reject videos with longer filenames.. (you can always change the name back once the file is in iTunes ;)

Did you get an error message? If so, what did it say? (Exact words preferred)

If you can't get the file into iTunes, I'd recommend trying to shorten the name of the file, and then renaming it to whatever you'd like once it's back in iTunes.
If it still happens again, try another converter like SPAM converter etc.

i used jodix to convert some tv shows off a replay machine and it worked really nicely except for the fact that the videos appear very small on my ipod. any way to change this?

change the output size to a larger size, but it may not be the best quality since you are making it larger. worth a try, though ;-)
