Either you didn't patch it right or it's incompatible with that patcher. Are you using Swap Magic or a modchip?

37. Q. I downloaded a PAL game, how do I convert it to NTSC?
A. Use Adrenaline patcher if it's an EA game: http://www.megagames.com/ps2/ps2_utils_files.shtml#ADRenalin%20Patcher Note: I've been told this works for non EA games as well. The screen won't be perfectly centered, unless you have a modchip that forces video mode.
Or patch with PAL2NTSC patcher with Y fix for non EA games: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/121718

I have been looking and reading all over to fix the same problem. I have a few PAL games from a friend (Original DVD's). My friend got the PS2 modded for me but I have no idea what the chip is (no logo at startup). It's not changing to NTSC for the PAL DVD's (showing up vertical sync off and B&W). I made an iso image and tried to patch the image and burn it.

I tried PAL2NTSC converter and it made the image easier to see and in color but there is still a double image. The funny thing is that the CGI movies and some menus (not all) play fine (no double image but a little shaky) but the normal play screens are double image. I then tried another with ADR and it's exactly the same result. I also tried different burn speeds and media. 5 DVD's all doing exactly the same thing. Any ideas on how to get around this? The image is good, audio is good but it's a double image (unless I pause the screen then it's single).

So close to getting this to work but I just cant get the verticle sync right. Too bad the PS2 doesnt have one of those old school vertical sync dials :P

Any ideas on what to try next? Thanks in advance!

Download the NTSC version. It was leaked to private trackers 5 days ago. I downloaded it and burned it to Taiyo Yuden's, but haven't bothered to see if it works yet.
