It was supposed to be a quick, easy fix. Others have done it in under ten minutes. I just need to replace one capacitor. So far I've spent two hours running around town to six stores/repair shops. No one has, or will sell the part I need. I also spent about two hours looking for parts on the net. It's been endless frustration. Taking the unit apart was easier than finding the replacement cap. The thing is only .25" and must cost about a dime, but I can't find one. I smell a conspiracy. So, does anyone out there do their own repairs? Know where to order parts? Someone save me! Thanks>

That would be great. The OEM part ID is HRR 821K 2KV CM86. (Printed on the cap.) That, as you know, makes it 820 pF +-10% with a 2000 volt rating. The 2KV has been the hard part. Damn high-voltage CRTs! Just in case you have access to schematics, it's for a Magnavox TP3281 C101. Chassis 32D700-7570. It's spot on the board was #2634.
Thank you.

I got mine at a local PA tv repair shop. Had to call about 10 places to find one that would sell parts. Most want the service call. I did for $5 what they would have charged over $100. Get the yellow pages out. Good luck. Wish I could help more.
