Is my phone able to be unlocked from Orange network?

When I do the *#06# to find the IMEI, nothing happens. It isnt written inside under the battery either.

Help appreciated.

Thanks

Edit : I just noticed that that there is a sticker inside saying "Card slot non-functional". I imagine this means that the phone is useless. Can anyone confirm this ? Thanks

Which means ?

a) I can phone a friend. (I can get it going)
b) I can't phone a friend. (It's Useless, throw it away)
c) Ask the audience (For a clearer reply)
d) 50/50 (Stay confused)

Means that if Orange will not activate the phone for you again, it's useless!! Can't phone a friend :)

Orange being a CDMA type network will not release the 11 digit esn # the phone has to another network. They will however sell you a new phone if you wanted to use other than Orange. If you were not the original purchaser of that phone with Orange, they will not activate the phone for you unless the original owner verified all old account information and were allowing you the use of that phone. My opinion, garbage can!! Even if Orange agreed to release the esn # to a different network, it's highly doubtful that the new network would accept it. They like selling new phones to make commission.
