Hi everyone, i've read some threads and stickys but am still lost. I have a backup of Torino 2006 for the PS2. I know with usual back ups they are usually in .iso format and i use DVD Decrypter for that and they copy fine. But obviously .bin and .cue files don't work with Decrypter so have downloaded Alcohol 120% but i don't know how to copy the .bin or .cue file onto DVD. I've heard that its a CD based game? Would that mean i would have to copy onto a blank CD and not a DVD? Could anyone give me the step by step instructions on what to do with the 2 files i have, .bin and .cue. Thanks a lot everyone and sorry for being a noob, no doubt there is an unbelievably easy answer.

Cheers everyone.

burning this game onto a cd may cause it not to work

my advice is to convert the files and burn them onto a dvd disk

see my personal page for a guide

btw,you burn bin images with decrypter onto a cd,if you want to risk it

all the details are here, and you need all of these, roxio is no good here

you will need Nero burnig rom,or you can use cd/dvd gen,(but thats harder to use)

No modchip is needed to play burned cd-r ihaveabu, Torino comes out to be around 678 mb think, so burn it to a cd-r. If you are using swap magic then put in the cd version, do the normal process,(put the cd disc in, wait for it to load, use slide card to get disc out, put in the burned cd-r of torino 2006, slide the tray back in, press X on load program). This is how i burned my torino and it works perfectly.

tomworthy,

all you need to burn this game is Alcohol 120%. there is no need to convert it to an iso file fit for dvd. i have made a successful backup onto a blank cd-r.

all you have to do is open up Alcohol 120% click on the "burn image wizard", find the .cue file and burn it.

if you have a mod-chip in your ps2 just pop it in and it should work, but if you don't i can't help ya with swap magic, etc.

This is the easy answer you were looking for. Burn the .bin file to cd-r using DVD Decrypter. There is no "risk" involved. I burn all of my cd-r backups with dvd decrypter.

This is what I do for cd-rom games:

Burnatonce (Free) - Read image file (.bin)
DVD Decrypter (Free) - Burn image file (.bin)

Torino 2006 is a cd-rom game and I have made a backup copy of it using this method.

I never had any problems with this game. I like it better than Salt Lake 2002. CD-R backups have never given me a problem. I even use a cd-r backup of codebreaker to use cheat codes on cd-r backups of games.

I'm in the forums everyday. I just dont post as much. This thread caught me eye because I've been playing this game.
