hey everybody, I'v been checking out all the posts all over the net, and i can't seem to find one with my problem... I hav green smiles all over the place, my settings should be fine, no firewall, cable internet, and uploads over 20kb/s... so why's my download speed never even hitting 1kb/s... i did download a movie and a program, but this one movie got to 95% complete, and now won't move on... what could be the problem?? (i even went from my modem direct to the pc)! any helps greatly appreciated, thanks.
Hey man, this kind of stuff happens with torrents. For example, The Core has been stuck at 90.5% for about three weeks now. Why is this? Simple, people download a file, then stop the upload. Shoot, I do it all the time. The only thing is, when people take the time to download a file, they also need to help upload it too. Usually I shoot for a 4 ot 5 share ratio, due to some peoples inability to share.
You might want to try your luck and keep it in a downloading status and see what happens. I found a Strawberry Shortcake VOB file (I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old), and after waiting about a week, I was at about 80%, when the file stopped at around the 2gig mark. So, I waited, and weeks later, I came home, and it was downloaded. Best of luck man. Oh, and....
.... are all good download sites. When you find a file that you like, make sure that under the S (for seed) where are quite a few. If there are little to no seeds, your chances of fully downloading the file are greatly diminished.
