AMD 64bit processors cannot run on older AMD Athlon/Duron (SocketA/462) motherboards. 64bit starts off on Socket 754, 940, and the ever more popular 939.

Your videocard/monitor have nothing to do with the system running a 64bit CPU.

ok if ur talking about going to your display options and u only have a 32 bit color scheme yes than that is affebted by your vid card now the x64 proc means that ur bus is 64 bits wide not 32 like older cpus now this has nothing to do with colors and video rez just that with the right programs your processes preform twice as fast

many things run faster with 64 bit processors on 32 bit windows. don't "upgrade" to window 64 bit edition...it's nothing but a giant pain in the ass.

you'll find more problems with windows 64 edition than you'd find in the bottom of a bottle.

there is no 64 bit color. processor and graphics capabilities are completely unrelated along those lines. getting a better video card will improve your gameplay and give you more graphics possibilities, but no color system in use is based on 64-bit color...it's ALL 32 or less at this point. as said before, with a processor, 64-bit refers to the amount of information process, not the pretty colors on your monitor.
