when ever i join my 2 vcd mpegs the file only plays until the first one finishes how can i correct the file header? cheers

Never had this problem if I join my files in TMPGEnc, using the MPEG tools function:

Merge and Cut.

tis ok i solved that problem by using the merge option in tmp then using mpegfix to redo the file header but now they was i used to import into srpuce up has went nuts i used to leave the video and auio demuxed and name them the same and it used to just see the other file name but now it freezes on import at 100%
