I have a system right. I can get the title on a disc but i cant play it. It goes from the inital boot to the red screen telling me to insert a PS2 or PSX disc. Do i need to take a file out? Someone said that i need to patch the ISO to make it a "master" ISO. Im using a method that i read off of here using DVD Decrypter. Like i said i can get the title on the disc no prob but it just wont boot.

you have burnt a ps2 game with dvd decriper? yes

you want to play it on your ps2? yes

when you load the backup you get a screen saying not a vaild disk please insert a ps2/psx game? yes

how are you booting you back up/what dvd's are

correct me if i hav miss understood

Do you have a modchip? or are you using boot discs? is what boobooman means.. you have to have either one of those methoda for playing backed up copies of games... you can't play backups on a stock system.

If you answer my question and tell me if you have a modchip or are using swap magic or gameshark or whatever then we'll try and help you...

My guess is though that you're not using any modification to your ps2, in which case there's nothing that can be done... ps2 games will not play without a mod of some sort.. there's nothing you can do to an iso that will make it play on a standard ps2.. unless you happen to have a disc press which costs many thousands of dollars.

I do have a modded PS2. I just have a different type of modded PS2. All i need is the Program that changes a ISO to a "master" ISO. Someone one another site said there was a patcher that does this but the thread was so old i couldnt reply to it.

Sorry, don't know what you mean... an ISO is an ISO as far as I know.. just a disc image file.
