i am trying to swap magic for my ps 2, the regular version. but i do not know what to buy. should i just buy the cds and no tools. i was on the official site of swap magic and they had the program and some other tools.

hi - you need the tools to prevent you from having to open your ps2. the tools make the ps2 think the lid/drawer is still closed while you switch discs (otherwise it would want to reboot

if you have a slim PS2 you will need slide keys
if you have the old PS2 you will need a slide card OR fliptop

if you have no warranty left & dont care to open your ps2 there are other methods. but for the price of the tools you may as well get them

thanks a lot. so once i buy the swap magic with the slide tool, the games that i will copy using DVD Decrypter will work just by using swap magic? thanks for your help.

yes they will work by backing up with decrypter, there are a few that need to be rebuilt as they are 2 big to fit on a disc, there are guides on here on how to do that should you ever need to.
make sure you use good brand media & burn at a slow speed (1X/2X).

gjl thanks for the info. maybe u can help me with something else if you dont mind.
A friend of mine told me i could buy an extra hard drive for my xbox and get something called an emulator and somehow i could play games for most of the systems out. do you anything about this, let me know. thanks alot.

hi i know nothing about x boxes sorry,
but there is such a thing as emulators. i have some for my ps2 that allows me to play snes,master system & atari games. you can get these emulators from ps2nfo.com then you need the game roms (i think there is a link on ps2nfo for roms, if not do a google search.)
there are emulators for the pc as well. but i am not sure where you would get one for the x box but i am sure they are out there. (as for the hard drive my emulators are all on disc & there is no need for a hard drive, on ps2 anyway)
