Does anyone know of a solution to make copies of copy-protected and non-copy protected DVDs that can fix/ignore small errors encountered during the ripping process?

(I have several DVD's (with and without copy protection) that have one or two short pause/skip/freeze errors during playback. I would like to make copies before they get any worse. Every decrypting ripper I have tried "errors out and dies" during the ripping process presumedly when it gets to the errors. I guess this is what DVD X Rescue was meant to take care of, but since 123's products apparently require you to obtain online or telephone verification to activate and since the company is now defunct, their software is now uninstallable or unreinstallable).

Your problem most likely caused by "cheap media", too fast burning speed, or burning too close to edge of the blank disk. All of these should be corrected before burning any more disks.
The "recover" function of CD Check (a free download) may be able to smooth out the error well enough to allow another copy to be made. It takes a while but may work if the error isn't too bad. Also could try ripping with DVD Decryptor set to "ignore read errors" but this would for sure result in errors on the copy.

First try DVD Decrypter and change a couple of settings:

Tools/Settings:

I/O tab- Tick ignore all read errors
CSS tab- tick Brute Force
OK

That may help. It works every now and then for me.Maybe you'll get lucky?

Sounds like they are original dvds with damage? If they are visually scratched up: Try cleaning them up/take them to a video rental store to buff them/or purchase a disc cleaning kit like the Skip Doctor.
