I just downloaded the file for the game(my friend took the orginal). I extracted the .rar with winrar and then i burnt the iso with decrypter at 1x onto maxell 8x dvd-r. I ran dvd identifyer on the dvd and it says that it is ritek. I put the game into my playstation after swap, and the screen keeps scrolling and flickering, the image is in black and white. what should i do to fix the problem. thanks

The file had pal in the file name would this have anything to do with it. again thank you all

I think the problem is the media, I strongly sugest using Verbatim DVD-R. And also burn it with DVD Decrypter.

Nay. The problem here is he's playing a PAL game on an NTSC PS2/TV or vice versa. Adjust the video mode to whatever region your TV/PS2 is, NTSC for U.S., PAL for UK and Europe.

thanks for the help. But how do i just the video mode, do i adjust the tv/ps2 how would i do that or do i need to convert the file, if so how do i convert the files. thanks agaion

You adjust it in the Swap Magic boot menu.

From the official Swap Magic site:

Swap Magic 3 has been designed with one purpose in mind - booting backups/import games. In the Swap Magic 3.6 Plus package, there are two discs. One disc is for booting CD-R games, and another is for booting DVD-R games.
In short, the procedure for booting a backup with Swap Magic is like this:
1. Insert a Swap Magic 3 Disc in your PlayStation2 (CD is for booting CD backups/import games. DVD version is for booting DVD backups/import games)
2. When there are two options (Load Program and Video Mode) on the screen, that is the time to swap the disc. ** [ you need to install the tools ( eg. magic switch, fliptop , slide tools ) to enable the console not to reset while swaping the disc ]
3. Insert your CD or DVD backup
4. Use Flip Top Cover or Slide-Tool to put the CD tray back
5. Press X on joy pad and the game will start
