Ok before i buy anything i want to get things 100% because i get confused easily.

First off. I need to buy dvd-r instead of dvd+r correct?

If i dont want to get a mod chip. Is swap magic 3.6 (http://modchip.com/ps2/slidecard.htm) all that i need?

Is there any cheaper places that u know of?

Swap Magic also requires either the slide card as pictured in your link, or a fliptop. The price looks a little on the high side, but at the same time I wouldn't recommend the place where I got mine, so maybe you get what you pay for.
If I had to do things all over again though, I would not go Swap Magic. I'd get a modchip.

Once you get the Swap Magic package, you'll be good to go.

Also, I'd recommend buying it here: http://ihackps2.org/inventory/home.php. It is $10 cheaper and they have much quicker shipping. I've purchased from both websites and Modchip.com took more than 10 days for shipping, while I received my stuff from IHackPS2 in 4 days!
