Backing up a PAL dvd?

I was wondering if there is a way to make a backup a PAL dvd so that it will playback on a dvd player here in the US?

I am using MacThe Ripper since I am on a Mac, and it sounds like it may take care of this. It says that it sets the region to 0 and is capable of removing RCE region protection. Is that all there is to making a PAL play NTSC?

If your player plays PAL then removing the region code will work. Check the specs on the player. If it doesn't then you'll also need to convert it from PAL to NTSC to play.
I'm not sure if vobblanker is Mac compatible. You can check the Mac forum on aD or the software section and see if there's another prog to convert using a Mac.
