I have a problem. I just got my PS2 V9 modded with a dms4 PRO SE and the mod is GREAT! I had it done by norcal. I used Maxell DVD-r's and burned at 1.5 X and all of the discs hang up at a loading frame and or at the very start! I have cleaned the laser and it did seems to help somewhat. But, it reminds me alot of lag in a game when the game hits spots where there is alot going on. Most of the games freeze and I have to reboot them alot. The GOW game plays a little better when I use ALCO. 120%? Still hangs and lags some and so does the Simpsons Hit & Run. I have the lastest firm and my drive is setup correctly. I dont have any problems burning dvd movies at all! Never had. I have purchased some TY online and hope that helps. I was told by the modder that the laser had 2 coils and 1 of them was weak but my last me for awhile. Can anyone give me some advise & a link for the V9 so I can readjust the laser??? I see one for the V4 but nothing for a V9 or V10.

Im with GregInnes. For me DVD Decrypter is the only app that you need. Every back up that I made, I use DVD Decrypter and never need to rebuild it, every game works great. And sometimes I use Maxell DVD-r's and work fine, although it is not the best option, but works fine for me.
