you don't really build laptops. i imagine it's much more difficult than desktops, and the knowledge required must be much more...encompassing. they're not worth it, anyway. you're best of just buying a cheapie or building a small desktop.

Yes, I agree. When I first got my laptop, I thought it was the greatest thing in the world! Ahem...turns out I was sadly mistaken.
Keep in mind that with laptops that you can do very LITTLE upgrading to it! Aside from memory and a new harddrive, what you order on a laptop is pretty much what you will be stuck with.

Resistance is futile! You will be assimilated!

Windows XP Media Center Edition, Pentium 4 3GHz w/ HT Technolgy / (1) 200 GB Internal SATA Hard Drive and (1) Western Digital Caviar 400GB Internal SATA Hard Drive,
2GB DDR 333MHZ / RADEON X700 PRO 256 MB PCI Express Graphics Card / 1 Westinghouse 19-Inch LCD Monitor
Logitech X-531 5.1 Speaker System

raceman94, this is off topic but I noticed in your sig you have the 19-inch Westinghouse LCD, that's a widescreen version right?? How's the picture and the response time, I heard it was an awesome LCD?? I'm trying to explain this to my onion head sister, but she's stuck on this damn LG LCD that looks pretty and spins around in circles, big deal I told her. Look for a big ass rebate, low response times, and a company that's not overpriced like Sony!!!!!!! Yeah, I'm talking about Life's Good!! and my retarted sister that won't listen to me because all of the sudden she knows more about computers then I do, dumb gal!!! Anyways, thanks for reading my off topic post, LOL...

I know what you mean about the sister. I have one too...No problem. Love having my two cents heard. But to answer your question: No, not this one. I WISH I could afford a widescreen, but this one isn't. It's just a nomrmal 19-inch monitor. As far as for response time and such, it's a good monitor. I haven't had any iddues with it. Much better than the 15-incher, but my Extended Desktop is going nowhere!!! Anyway, it cost me $279 before taxes, but keep your eyes open: I see all kinds of better deals on 19-inch monitors everywhere. I don't know where you live, but down here in Georgia now, Office Depot (if you have one) has a HYUNDAI 19" LCD Flat Panel Monitor for $229 after rebates. Don't know anything about them though. Good luck on convincing your sister.
