Ok so I am using bit torrent to download my tv eps.

I have been do ing so for at least 2 years and this is the first time I have run in to a problem and I am unsure how to resolve it.

First. I have recently removed Norton and replaced it with McAfee. I think this is the issue, mainly because my torrents were fine before the switch.

But my torrents will start and I will be having a great share rating and a good download rate and then poof it freezes and its no longer downloading or uploading I have to restart the torrent and it will only run for say 5 min before it freezes again.

I dont know what settings i need to change if any.

any help would be greatly appriciated.

I know there isnt anything wrong with torrent, or my computer, i just know that there is some kind of confliction between the two programs, something i might be missing, a setting with in either program that might let torrent continue downloading instead of freezing.

hmm what kind of bittorent cilent do you use? When you meant,"Ok so I am using bit torrent to download my tv eps" did you mean you were using the actual bittorent cilent "Bittorent"?Or are you using something else like BitComet or Azureus?

Azereus fixed everything for me also. I had to use bittorrent and BitTornado because bitcomet slowed down my computer and the network and the speeds were really crappy. Azerus I am getting like 60kbs on a torrent with only 4 seeders.
