brother in arms freezes even with ppf patch?

i tried applying the ppf patch recommended for this game and it still froze but further in the game. does anyone know the best way to burn this game, via rebuilding or patching with something else?

might be you got a bad batch of disc or your version of ps2 console or your firmware on your dvd burner isnt up to date
