Disc ID Utility Problem

Im trying to backup an online game, and I want to get the disc ID for the ISO. But I run the program through swap magic, then it says swap over disk and press X to get ID, but i cant swap the disc over with the original game because it is still spinning. Is there a way to prevent this? (By the way I am using a slimline PS2). I dont want to scratch the disk.

Your ps2 has to know you opened it (so it will stop spinning) before you put in your ORIGINAL disc you want the id off of.

Your ps2 has to know you opened it to get the disc to stop spinning. Take 1 of the tools your covering the sensors with out, and the disc should stop spinning. Then put in your original disc in that your getting the disc id off of.
