Ok. So i got the game to boot and what not. I'm going to get str8 to the point.

-Music usually stops for no reason

-While pulling some supers there is a 50% chance the game is going to freeze. Don't say don't pull supers cuz any1 who has seen them will tell u how awesome they are.

-There is the occasional load screen of death(just freezes)

Now alot of times you can play for hours and nothing will go wrong (except you can b sure the music will stop after a minute). The freezing is so random though that when it happens you want to kill somebody.

Multiple people have come across the same issues. Some one told me something about loading up a TOC and then switching to Naruto 3. I have no TOC game. Is this the only way or do I need to rebuild Naruto 3 or something. O yea, I have swap magic 3.6 and my dvds work fine.

Help please. Thanks.

Apparently a lot of people are having this problem. All I use are DVD-R Verbatim and I burn at 2x all of the time. I am having the exact same problem with my Narutimette and TOC Refresh has never worked for me (using MK Deception, San Andreas, or Onimusha3 as high TOC discs).

When I try TOC Refresh, after refreshing the TOC successfully with the original PS2 game, I open the fliptop and put in Naruto, press X to load as usual, then it takes me to the RED SCREEN OF DEATH (Please Insert PS2 Disc).

Why isn't Refresh TOC working for me?

Try burning at 4x or 8x, it could be a side effect of burning too slow.

I forgot to add that I burned the disc on every possible speed my burner has (2x 4x 8x) and got the same result each time. But thanks for your suggestion.

Is it possible to recompiled ISO's with dummy space? Because Narutimette 3 is not a large game so would adding dummy space to the iso make it work any better?

Also my biggest question is, why wont Refresh TOC work for any of my backups? After refreshing with a large TOC original, I put in my backup and load it and every single backup I have sends me to the red screen of death. Doesnt make sense, man.

More likely it's a case of cheap media. What's the Media ID of the discs you're using?

91. Q. What is the Media ID of a DVD and how can I find it?
A.The Media ID of a DVD is the true measure of it's quality. It contains prerecorded info about the disc's manufacturer. The quality of the disc will vary depending on the media code. The media code isn't visible on the disc or the packaging. To check the media ID, Open DVD Decrypter, insert your disc, and check what it says under Media ID or Manufacturer ID. You can also use a program called DVD Identifier which is very useful. You can find it here: http://dvd.identifier.cdfreaks.com/
Compare the Media ID to this link: http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unique Disc Identifier : [DVD-R:MCC 03RG20 ]
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Disc & Book Type : [DVD-R] - [DVD-R]
Manufacturer Name : [Mitsubishi Chemical Corp.]
Manufacturer ID : [MCC 03RG20 ]
Blank Disc Capacity : [2,298,496 Sectors = 4.71 GB (4.38 GiB)]
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
[ DVD Identifier V4.3.0 - http://DVD.Identifier.CDfreaks.com ]

The last time I checked, MCC (Mitsubishi Chemicals) was pretty high quality. So it's not cheap media. There's literally something screwy going on with me not being able to Refresh TOC...sucks being one of those people who have problems no one else has experienced.

Make sure your firmware is up to date and your burner is in DMA mode.

82. Q. When I'm burning with DVD Decrypter or Nero I get an I/O error or some other strange error, I'm not sure my burner is in DMA mode, and I'm confused about different media, what do I do?
A. http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/FAQ.htm

92. Q. What is firmware and why should I care?
A. Firmware as defined by AD:
Sort of a "operating system of the hardware", an embedded instruction set built-in or flashed into a hardware equipment, such as a router, CDR drive, DVD-ROM drive, washing machine, etc.
Newer Firmware can unlock new features that are sealed on certain DVD Burners like booktyping, or simply enhance your existing Burner by improving burn quality and media compatibility. Keeping your Firmware up to date is essential to ensure quality burns and maximum functionality from your DVD Burner. When flashing your burner with new Firmware, be very careful. Make sure you shut down all programs running in the background, the DVD-ROM drive is empty, and you follow all the directions included in the Firmware download exactly. A bad flash can fry your DVD Burner. Proceed with caution. You can find all the Firmware you'll ever need here: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_all.php

Try Zone Loader or DVD Loader. They're extra swap discs which can help boot problem games. Insert Swap Magic, then Zone/DVD Loader, then swap in your backup. Download em, burn em to DVD and swap then in when necessary.

Zone Loader: http://xtreme-source.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=156

DVD Loader: http://xtreme-source.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=143

You have to register, but it's free.

Do I use the refresh TOC method when using zone loader or DVD Loader? Or do I use the fliptop after the swapdisc load game screen comes up? I'm assuming the latter, and just press load game to load up 2nd loader-disc.

Don't worry about a TOC refresh. Swap Magic-->Zone Loader-->backup. That's it.

ISOs can open in WinRAR, but what you want to do is open with DVD Decrypter or Nero. Right click on the file and go to open with, then select DVD Decrypter or Nero itd pay to select Always open with this program as well. This should give you the option to burn.

First you decompress the file with WinRAR. Right click the first numbered file and click extract here. Then use your favorite burning software to burn the iso.

Here's some thorough rebuild guides for all the most commonly used software: ImgBurn and DVD Decrypter: http://www.xtreme-source.com/showthread.php?t=800

Nero and Alcohol 120%: http://www.xtreme-source.com/showthread.php?t=804

Try burning slightly slower or faster. If that doesn't work, try Zone Loader: http://www.xtreme-source.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=156

Sounds like a cheap media issue. Try using some Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim media.

86. Q. Where can I find good deals on legit Taiyo Yuden's and Verbatim's?
A. http://www.supermediastore.com
Great List of Merchants locally, online, in the U.K., etc:
