A friend recently told me that Napster offers unlimited downloads for a monthly fee that can be played off-line. The catch being these are unburnable tracks that are lost if the subsription is cancled. I have looked around their website for some sort of indication of how this works but have been unable to find any such answers. I understand that they are DRM protected but their file extension eludes me. I am unsure as to the nature of these files and what they are considered in regards to streaming audio.
AfterDawn has been a huge help to me over the past few years but I am not the most computer savvy guy. If this has been addressed I apologize. It seems to me that this would be a more common inquiry.

some DRM files can be circumvented. it depends on what type of media napster uses.

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:
