the problem is that they are sticking or glitching after conversion, i preview them before i put them on DVD and this has happened with 3 out six movies...i'm using winavi.... i thought it was because my processor was slow so i tried it on a faster one and it was worse.( both have 512mb RAM 1 is 2.4ghz p4 the other is 1.2 intel celeron) could someone help me out with this?

lets see how you go with a different encoder.

what are you using to burn your converted project to disc?
what speed are you burning at?
what media are you using?

I personally use NeroVision to do my conversions. I haven't had a problem yet. Simply, insert your file (.AVI,.mpeg) into the NeroVision project. Here you can create chapters, change the bitrate of the video, make menu, etc. The conversion depending on the options you choose, can take from 3 - 5 hours. On the last screen, you can output directly to the burner or to your hard drive via Video_Ts and Audio_Ts folders. Be sure you burn at 4x to ensure a good burn. Hope this helps.

have you got an id for the discs.?

Stop burning at 8X as you have proven you have issues at that speed stick to 4X

Do you have a Nero log that you can produce for deciphering
