Here's what I found on IFOs (a post at AD DVDXCopy forum by Ireland)

@uneekspcs, I believe the blank spots are the VOB errors, of which AnyDVD corrects, so you don't get unable to read errors. Why your backup is pausing there, I'll leave to the more knowledgeable.
@arniebear, thanks on how to see the bitrate, popcorn does get a little boring!

binkie 7 . . . I followed the link you suggested and used DVDFAB decrypter and VobBlocker. However, when I tried to open the file with DVD Shrink, I got an error "failed to open, system can't find the file specified." I guess I didn't name the file correctly. I named it "vobblanker chickenlittlevideo_ts\VTS-03-0.IFO" What should I have named it when I ran it through VobBlocker? Thanks!!!

Make sure you are opening the right folder - open the folder dvdfab put the processed files. The name shouldn't matter. I just created 2 folders - like for Chicken Little - I did Chic Lit and Chic Lit 2. So I had dvdfab put the files in Chic Lit. Then in vobblanker I opened the ifo in the Chic Lit folder and picked Chic Lit 2 for the processed files. Now in Shrink I look for Chic Lit 2 and open that folder.
Hope that helps.

Yeah just figured out that I didn't have the latest version of DVDFab Decrypter. I've updated and ripped with the new version and then ran shrink, BINGO! Thanks for the input =)

@Newbies or those that are having issues with VobBlanker,
Yes indeed, Chicken Little has some of the latest proctections. However, as usual "DVDFAB Decrypter + VobBlanker" should be able to successfully ripped and clean out all those junks flawlessly.
**NOTE: DVDFAB Decrypter alone can "easily rip" it successfully, but I'm a VobBlanker user and it's only 5 minutes to process the VIDEO_TS.IFO, plus I like to blank out other unwanted junks (i.e. fbi warnings, rating logos/screens, previews/trailers, etc.) -- however, the choice is yours.
As stated by "binkie7", if using VobBlanker, make sure you load the "correct" VIDEO_TS.IFO from the already ripped VIDEO_TS file. If you guys are NOT sure of what/where to "blank out", then at the right, make sure you click "PROC.ALL", then click "PROCESS" below and VobBlanker will be done within 5 minutes of processing and filtering any left over junks/craps.
To see where/which VTS or PGC has the bad, invalid or dummy sectors, you'll need to look/verify with PgcEdit using the "Original DVD" of Chicken Litte, and PgcEdit will tell you which sectors or VTS has the bad/dummy/invalid or protected sectors. Now make a good "note" of that, once you open up VobBlanker and load your already ripped VIDEO_TS.IFO, click on the suspicious or VTS that PgcEdit has warned you, then simply "blank" those VTS out.
Best of lucks to all!

@alkohol thank for the info, I'll use it for the next problem DVD. I found this thread that helped me with my problem. "disc frezzes at begining" Ok I was having the same problem with chiken little. Ripped with anydvd+dvdd then tried to shrink. Error message for vts_03 came up. All you need to do is go into VOB Blanker load up your little chick and it will tell you that it has marked some bad secters to skip. Click ok. VOB will have blanked out the entire vts_03 file. You dont want this because that is your actual movie file so click on that file and remark it to process. Next click on the vts_03 file and the bottom half will pop up 3 files click on pgc 02 and blank it. Now you can process it but dont forget to give it an output folder that you will find. Now that it is processed you can open up shrink and open up your new and improved chicken little file and burn like you always do. You will get the entire disc with all the extra Disney stuff that you just cant live without.

@uneekspcs
That is the "main" reason why I like to have VobBlanker "process" any of my movies (VIDEO_TS.IFO), regardless if it has been "successfully" ripped by DVDFAB Decrypter or DVD Decrypter into my hard drive.
Yes, VobBlanker is pretty useful and powerful. It can correct/fix any "dummy/fake, invalid data sectors, etc." by simply clicking on the "PROC.ALL" and "PROCESS". Furthermore, it can easily "blank out" any useless/unwanted junks like fbi warnings, rating logos/screens, previews/trailers, extras, director's commentary, etc. flawlessly.
To be honest, all of my backups/movies that I've had "processed" through VobBlanker, I've never experienced any playback issues (i.e. black screens, glitches, missing chapters or scenes/chapters jumping, shortage of files, etc.) -- so far, they all played and still plays flawlessly.
Best of lucks to all and happy burning!!

Excuse me, fellas: This guy is asking for specific help with a specific title. It's great that you have had good experience with certain processes on many other DVDs, and are of the opinion that "this should work" or "that should work," but if you don't know, please don't say it. Specifically, I'm saying that if you have not successfully tried your recommended process on the DVD title that the poor guy is asking about, you might very well be sending him on a wild goose chase. I say this because I've tried backing up Chicken Little with many of your recommended processes already, and the ones I've tried have failed, with the same errors he's getting. Too many of us do this in too many threads. Please try the title with your process before rendering your gratuitous, inaccurate advice. Thanks.

I try to only give advice on movies I have backed up as do the many others who give of their free time to help out. I backed up this movie using AnyDVD and CloneDVD.
