hey i was tryin to play socom 2 online and for some reason it doesnt let me play. It says im connected but,when its tryin to authenticate the dnas data it says error. Can u please help me. Did i do somethin wrong or is it the game. Because in my friends house he was playin the same game. IT is da same copy. PLEASE HELP! Thanks.

You can't play backups of Socom 2 or 3 online, they have online server checks that prevent you from playing backups online. If you're using an original copy, switch off your modchip.

I AM PLAYING DA ORIGINAL COPY OF SOCOM 2. MY FRIEND WAS PLAYIN IT AT HIS HOUSE. ITS DA SAME EXACT DISC. AND I DONT HAVE A MOD CHIP. I HAVE THE SLIM PS2.PLEASE HELP. THANKS

Watch the all caps messages, make sure your Caps Lock is off before posting. If you're using the original copy I don't know why you can't get online. What DNA's error code do you get (i.e. what 3 digit number)? Download this guide to find out what it means.

It could be that your account has been suspended because you have failed to enter the PIN code. Other than that, if it is indeed an original and you do not use a modchip, it must be connectivity issues.

EDIT : If you play your online game using a setup connection set up on a certain console, you cannot load this network profile on another console, if you want to play the game on a different console, you will have to make another connectiom profile in order to play it, otherwise you will just keep getting erros.

hey i also got another question, is it possible to burn a ps2 game and play it online with out getting in troble for it? Because i am waiting for Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistence and i was planning to making a back up copy of it and then selling it. THANK YOU.

Yes. As long as you patch the DNA's with Windip.

Hey I got another question, is it possible to burn a movie of another burned movie? Also i tried socom 2 online again and still it says DNAS DATA error. It said network error (-612) so i tried the online start up disc v.3.0 and that one said DNAS DATA, network error -611. Please help because Metal Gear Solid 3 is almost out and I want to play it online. Thanks.

Piracy is not allowed here.

Yes, it is possible to burn a copy of a copied movie, but leave such questions for appropriate forums. This is the PS2 DVD Backup Discussion Forum

And if it is your original SOCOM II disc, then it is indeed a connection/network error, different games use different ports. Most games tell you in the instructions booklet which ports should be opened/forwarded. If not, try the games website support or the playstation forums.
