I have an AVI with AC3 I want to convert to DVD format and later edit in DLP. I know how to convert a movie with non-ac3 sound, or how to convert but not to keep this high quality sound format.
It said on P website a selection of AC3 sound iwll appear in TMPGencxpress after installation of the plugin. I either do not see the new options or do not know where to look.
Could somebodyy please specify which settings need to be changed in TMPGenxXpress to make use of the AC3 plugin i got.
It is best to Demux the AC3 audio from the AVI Before encodeing to MPEG-2 and Just encode the AVI Video to a MPEG-2 Video File and use the MPEG-2 Video file with the Demuxed AC3 audio file to Create your DVD.....
You can use a Program Called "AVI-Mux" to Demux the Audio from the AVI and you can also use V-Dub to do that....
If you Let TMPGEnc handle the audio it will Re-Encode the Audio and the Plugin only Supports Dolby AC3 Stereo Not Dolby 5.1 like your File so if you let TMPGEnc handle the audio you will loose audio Quality and 3 Chanells of audio....
