Hi,
I got my Wifi Max today and I am having trouble with it. I have set it up correctly, but have a problem when trying to connect.
I can find the Wifi Max on my PSP and I get 100% signal strenght. When I try to dial tho, it says "the attempt to obtain the IP address timed out". I have tried going to start>control panel>network and internet connections>network connections> and then I can see my SpeedTouch Connection icon. I tried right click, properties, advanced and then I ticked "allow other network users to connect through this computers internet connection" . I still receive the same error about the IP when I try to connect through my PSP.
Please help,
Jin666

i even made a screenie to prove my point. you connection needs that hand,, it means your connection is shared, if you dont have this hand then that means you didnt tick the share this connection check.
Ok!

It's not very nice to drop questions in on someone elses thread, especially when it is totally off-topic.
Jin, do you connect to the internet through a proxy? Also, if you use PeerGuardian disable it. If all else fails, it could be a problem with your ISP?

hi, dude what error message u egtting? because if its the "ip can not be obtanied" then try the thread i wwas in-http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/308564 .
1) try opening your ZDwlan configuration tool at the bottom open it (make sure your in access point) go to more settings then make sure your network mode is on 802.11b authentication mode to open system. on the mac address click settings and disable it. now click on ya wirless network connection (which ever one it is) click the tab at the top then click repair , then try connecting with ya psp , see if that works
2)The connection should be shared
3) try entering in the ip and dns stuff manually-reply back if you dont know how to find these out
4)make sure your firewall is not stopping it frm connecting, so disable it or smething
5)just wen it is starting to test the connection, quicly go to the wi-fi max and right clik it, if u clik repair it should work...
This Wi-Fi max, will take sum effort into working, but it will work :D
Arsenal! =D

Is this Wifi Max compatible with my Thompson Speedtouch 330 modem. If so, why isnt it working. If not, then ive just wasted £18 on that Wifi Max.
