Alright, so I've recently gone out and purchased Ratchet: Deadlocked (great multiplayer game if your interested). I've just recently started backing my ps2 games up. It's easier to leave the originals here at home while I'm up at school; avoid worry of theft, scratching, etc. Anyways, I just realized the whole problem with the DNAS authentication and like any user, I googled the problem and found exactly what I was looking for, a step by step guide on how to patch burned games; I did just that. The game loaded up fine just as they usually do for me (I'm using the Swap Magic v3.6 disc, but the DNAS error was still there. Using the Disc ID Utility cd that I created based on the forums, I wrote down the Disc ID exactly as it was shown, but I was skeptical as to whether it was working or not. I tried a different ps2 game to see its Disc Id... it was the same exact ID number. The guide that I followed was on the www.ps2nfo.com site. (it seems that everyone is pointing in the same direction when it comes to patching). But, I haven't found any forums with the same problem as mine. What am I doing wrong?? Any help would be much appreciated.

What are you using to patch them? Google windip and try patching it with that, it's just a case of loading up the ISO inside it, choosing verify, entering the number and clicking patch.

Also, ^^ I wouldn't post DNAS IDs, if Sony come across this thread, that ID and everyone who uses it will be banned from playing online.. and it's also against forum rules ;)

i was able to work around the problem. I do use windip, but patching the image wasn't my problem. It was getting the Id's to patch with in the first place. Everytime I tried to read the disc Id's, i'd get the same one for every game, which doesn't make sense coming from original discs. Anyways, i found the problem. i was using the disc utility v2.0A which is meant to be burned onto a cd-r. in order to get this disc to work in my ps2, i had to use my swap magic disc (cd-rom version). however, after i use the cd-rom version of the swap magic, my ps2 is now reading for cd's not dvd's (which my games are). for anyone that happens to read this thread later, get the disc utility 3.0 with the dvd version; finally worked for me.
