I will be grateful if anyone can offer me any advice.
I have used Emule successfully on Win98 and I am now trying it on XP. It appears to be running OK, but the saved byte count creeps right up to the file size, then it drops back a few meg and the download continues. This goes on indefinitely.
I have not tried a reinstall yet, I just wondered if anybody has a solution which will allow me to preserve my existing partial downloads?

Thanks for the answer.
Emule is 047a.
I have done a bit more research on the prob. It seems that I am getting a persistently bad part downloaded, as shown by the log message 'AICH successfully recovered 9.10Mb 0f 9.28Mb'.
I have updated my server list and set up an ipfilter.dat and I have completed at least one large download successfully with one still sticky. I have not found any other solution apart from waiting patiently, unless you know one!

i just program them and leave them.The best time to download out of emule is overnight when you arent using your pc and have 30 files for download otherwise any more than that and you will get a lowid
