Ok first let me say that I have been backing up dvd movies for over a year and I havn't had any problems. My burner is a Lite-On LDW 811S. I'm using Comp usa brand dvd-r media. Suddenly I can't do any more burns. I'm using dvd shrink and dvd decrypter to back my stuff up. I create the .iso file with shrink without any problems. When I go to try to burn it with decryper I get this errorafter it gets to 100% buffering saying

I/O error!

ScsiStatus: 0x02
Interpretation: Check Condition

CDB: 2A 00 00 00 40 00 00 00 20 00
Interpretation: Write (10) Sectors:16384-16415

Sense Area: 70 00 02 00 00 00 00 0A 00 00 00 00 30 05 00 00 00 00
Interpretation: Cannot Write Medium - Incompatable Format

I have never had this problem before. I have tried multiple movies and it always comes up with the same thing. All the research I have done has indicated that this means my media is incompatable with the burner but I have been using this same media for over a year and I don't want to buy new stuff. I updated the firmware but it didn't make a difference. The only clue I have is that b4 this happened I but a new 250 GB EIDE drive more my machine and made it my primary drive. I'e been getting this error ever since then. Does anyone have a clue? I downloated that imgburn thing that sopposedly replaced decrypter but same error. I would appreciate any help

That media is probably on the low end of the quality spectrum.

Did you change anything about you media from the time it was successful to now?
Example: Different quantity/Different spindle-pack/Different format/Different brand name?

What's the speed rate of the Comp USA discs?

Can you get the MID code using DVD Decrypter?

Also try to get an MID code from your last successful backups and let us know what they are.
