I am having a problem with my Dvd burner not reading dvd's i put in
the drive will read a Cd but any dvd or blank dvd it does not read the disk ?

what can i do to fix this problem?

the drive is sony dvd rw dru-540A

there is no error message just it is does not recognize any dvd disk

I'm having the same problem with a micro advantage. It use to play DVDs but now when I put in a DVD it doesn't recognize it. Also, the drive name (my computer window) changes from DVD-RW Drive (D:) to
CD-Drive (D:)after it tries to read disc. I had upgraded the firmware once at their site (maybe that's when the problem started - not sure) but it seems their web site no longer works.
