Ok when it comes to computers im a complete idiot, but id still like to enjoy the benefits of DLing my fav shows using bittorent w/o waitting around for 1000+ hrs. so with that said...

I use bittorent like most people and im not getting dl speeds any faster than 3KB.
I tried to fix the port to 3885 and added an extra port on my windows firewall.
I'd do the router suggestion, but im currently living in a college dorm and i plug my ethernet directly into the wall, so i dont think theres a router.

With all that said, im STILL getting slow downloads!! someone out there please help me!!

if it is speed you want then your best bet will be limewire if it will run at your college but personally i think you are risking it abit but with limewire you can get 100+ kbs easy :)

There is no way he can get 100+ KB using Limewire at a college dorm unless they have no firewall or protection at all. For music, google "Ourtunes" (no quotes) and that should solve all your problems. For TV shows, get with a private tracker, that is the only way you will get decent speeds at college.

Good luck!
