Am looking for advice about linking my laptop to a TV screen. I have an S-video lead and a scart adaptor but when I plug it all in nothing happens. Not sure if i am trying to do the impossible or using the wrong equipment or what really...any suggestions welcome!

you will have to tell your notebook that you are adding a tv or extra monitor to your outs.

Right click on your desktop and select properties/settings/then either in display or advamced settings your going to have to make this change (depending on your notebook configurations)

Any more clues as to how to tell the laptop that ive added a new monitor? when i go into settings etc it just says it's using the default monitor?
