Superpass 2 HELP .....instructions

hi all,
I've got a Superpass 2 & programmer.
I plug it into my PC parallel port and connect to USB, with Superpass in with switch down.
Run the superpass programm, select the file I want to program for the original cart I'm using. In this case Mario 64 DS (code: ASMP)

Then click the program button & all I get is a Error box that says..

1) hardware not connected to PC
2)USB not connected
3)SP2 Switch not open.

I've tried it on 2 PC's now, with the same result.
What does the printer port need to be set to?

Any help apprieciated.

first, check to make sure that the switch if down.

then make sure the parallel connector is connected tightly to your computer;

usb is only use for power; also on your computer, make sure that no other device or printer is using this port.
