Recently just dled the ntsc version of Onimusha Dawn of Dreams. The extraction and burn process seemed to be successful. But when I put it in my PS2 it does not play. After the PS2 logo comes up it just darkness from that point. Tried 2 times, one time with alcohol120% and other with Nero both at 4x speeds. Can't be the media (ritek) cause I successfully burned other games using this. Been having this same problem alot recently. Any help or suggestions? I know something is really messed up just don't know what.

What form or modification does your console have to boot backups? I'm also afraid to say it, but chances are it is your media. Ritek aren't that great. Get some Verbatim or Tuiyo Yuden DVD-R at 4x or 8x and burn at half the maximum disc speed (eg. I use 8x Verbatim and burn at 4x)

First Disc - 3.36gb
Second Disc - 3.35gb

Depends on what release you got, but the only one just now is the STRiKE one. So it's probably been re-built, so it must be the media you are using. Check my earlier post.

So you saying that blackscreen problem is usually caused by the media? I'm also noticing a very strange pattern, I burned games successfully when the size tend to be smaller but if I have a larger file like this one which is 4.37 when burnt..then it has alot of problems. Is it possible for me to rebuild this game then?
