Yes, if your iPod is continually shutting itself down, and you feel it's an issue, then send it off to Apple, so they can check the problem & replace the battery if necessary.
domreis, in the states, it has the same policy as the uk, i live in california and it is the same as lethal said here. how many times have you had a personal experience with them replacing the ipod because of a bad battery? if no or little experience, how would you know? nothing personal, just trying to get the correct info out ;-)
