Im wondering if anybody knows where I can find a site with pics on custom power cabling for a pc? I been using modular psus on all my customer builds, but my own I stupidly bought a reg psu. And the excess cables are annoying the piss out of me. I need some ideas. Google isnt my friend today..LOL!:.
Im thinking of cutting out the ones I dont need and taping the ends, but that would void the warranty on the psu. Also opening thepsu case is out of the question....any good ideas? Im all ears or Im getting the dikes out and start snipping..LOL!

you should of just baught the ultra x connext power supplies from tigerdirect. you only plug in the ones you need ...i recently bought one and its great

Thats what I ment by modular. I didnt know they had modular ones till after I bought this one..

if have an empty 5.25: drivebay than stuff the extra cables in there. i had a 2 fan psu that came with long cables that i opened the psu case, unsoldered the wires, cut down the cables to a better size, stripped the cut ends of the wires & resoldered back to the psu board than closed the psu case.

http://www.frozencpu.com has sleeving accessories to mod your power supply and great ratings on reselleratings. I've used them before, good selection of accessories, cabling supplies, heatsinks, etc. I think they also have some "how-to's" posted on their website to show you how to mod your power supply.

Hey, at least should you american guys get a mains shock from PSU modding, you just get a nasty sensation and get knocked off your feet. If the same happened to you over here, you're down for the count.

Thanks to trgrpullr. Thats was what I need. They had a nice guide on how to make a modular psu out of a regular one and also how to sleave. Its exactly what I needed. Off to Sears to get some shrinkwrap and a pin tool.:>

Nah I wont blow meself up I dont think. Im a mechanic by trade and rewired cars before from elictrical fires. So its not different.:.

Thanks Jonni...another great post. See the biggest problem I have is the way they bundled the wires from the factory with the antect psu. But now I got the pin remover Im slowly tearing it apart and putting all the wires nice and neat not intertwined.>
