is it ok to have 2 or more bit torrent clients installed on pc if they dont run at the same time. will trackers get messed up. and will it affect speeds in any way. whats the best for private trackers? I heard utorrent, Azureus, bittornado, and bitlord are ok but still debating on which ones to use.

You can have more than one BT client running at the same time although they will share your bandwidth.

I use ”Torrent for private trackers and BitComet for public trackers. This is in hope that someday the ban will be removed.

I wouldn't try using Bitlord on private trackers as this is based on BitComet and a lot of them have banned this too.

I hear a lot of people saying that Bitcomet is banned from trackers.
Why? Did bitcomet do something? I have friends that have reccomended Bitcomet to me saying that is a really good Bit torrent client

Bitcomet is excellent, but...... they dont seem to get the picture.

All clients have an option called DHT (distributed Hash Table) now the reason bitcomet and its counter parts, are banned is b/c they dont completely turn off DHT.

Now what DHT does is share to everyone who is trying to recieve that file, regardless of what tracker thier on or if it even exists anymore. So u could see how that would effect the private community. They only want to share to their members, and thats it!.

Just a little info on DHT ;-D

Edit: I use ”Torrent for private and Bitcomet for public, works perf 4 me.

No sig for u!.
